SCHOLARSHIP FOR UNS FACULTY
UNS strongly encourages its teaching staffs to pursue higher educations. Through several scholarships provided by Indonesian government or Foreign Countries Government, many lecturers have obtained higher education both in Indonesia and abroad.
Several institutions providing scholarships are,
Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) are long term development awards administered by AusAID. ADS aim to contribute to the long term development needs of Australia’s partner countries in line with bilateral and regional agreements. They provide opportunities for people from developing countries to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.
ADS are offered for the minimum period necessary for the individual to complete the academic program specified by the Australian higher education institution, including any preparatory training.
The foundation was established in 1992. It’s a non-profit foundation organizing in Fulbright Program in Indonesia. Programs provided for American and Indonesian Host Institutions are Lecturing Grants for Faculty, Research Grants for Faculty, Senior Specialist Grants, Research Grants for Students, Fulbright-Hays Pre-doctoral Student and Post-doctoral Faculty Grants, and English Teaching Assistanship (ETA) Grants.
For the academic year 2012/2013, the Russian Federation Government through the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science provides 50 scholarships for Indonesian citizens to study at various universities in Russia.
There are 50 scholarships offered which consist of:
- 40 scholarships for Bachelor, Medical Specialization, and Master’s programs;
- 10 scolarships for postgraduate programs (aspirantura (internatura, ordinatura), doktorantura).
The application documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation no later than May 15, 2012.
Monbukagakusho Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship program offered the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT). This scholarship covers tuition fees and living expenses. In Indonesia, the registration and selection process for the Monbukagakusho scholarship is carried out by the Embassy of Japan.
