The Branch of Treatment of Traditional of Traditional Chinese Medicine Association (China), Indonesian Collegiums Acupunture, and PT Tri Mukti Padatguna ( an institution which operates on education, and health services)

UNS has proved its commitment to fulfill the needs of the researchers for qualified and advanced facilities and accomodations. To meet the demands of the researchers and the students for advanced system of education, UNS had built mutual cooperations with  some national and international institutions. The awareness of UNS about the importance of health matter had led UNS to develop its medical scienctific dicipline.  In 2007, UNS collabarated with three qualified medical institutions that are, The Branch of Treatment of Traditional of Traditional Chinese Medicine Association (China), Indonesian Collegiums Acupunture, and PT Tri Mukti Padatguna ( an institution which operates on education, and health services). UNS and those institutions work together to carry out education on acupunture. By joining in this program, UNS expect that students in the level of basic medical education, advanced medicine on doctor profession, post graduate, and specialists could acquire knowledges about accupunture and later they could use this alternative medical treatment in  to increase the quality of health services in Indonesia.

Golbal Medic Network SDN. BHD

As one of universities with high standardized-education system in Indonesia, UNS has attempted to build cooperation with international educational institutions by which the existence of UNS could be recognized by  the international society and the systems of education of UNS could be suited with international standards. In 2007 cooperated with Global Medic Network SDN. UNS had been trusted by  Golbal Medic Network SDN. BHD, an educational institution in Malay, to conduct an entrace examination, to recruite and to coordinate the malaysian students who wanted to have education in the Faculty of Medicine of UNS. As a partner, UNS had fulfilled its agreements with Global Medic Network SDN. BHD.By having this partnership, UNS expect that later UNS would be one of qualified world-recognized university. Started from building networks in the neighbourhood Asian countries, UNS had attempted to promote the wellness of its name, dignity and sovereignity to International society. UNS guaranteed the safety and the comfortability of the foreign students. The quality of UNS’s staffs and system of education had made it easier for international students to get educations in UNS. The system of regulation of UNS had been well-developed so that international students could easily manage their preparations to enter UNS. The quality of the UNS has also been proved by the trusts given by some national and international institutions in their partnerships with UNS.

Jinan University “College of Chinesse language and Culture” (China)

China was recognized as a country of knowledge and technology. One old apophthegm told “ Uncover The Secrets of the Greatness of Science to China”. The advancement of science and technology in China had been recognized by people throughout the world. China also well-known for its famous language and rich culture. Indonesia, as we know, was recognized as a country of  cultures. The richness of the human resources and natural resources of Indonesia had given contributions to the developments of culture in Indonesia. Hence, the Dean of UNS Prof. Dr. Much Syamsulhadi, dr.Sp.Kj think that it is nescessary for UNS to build cooperations with China. Cultures and languages could encourage the establishment of strong relation between Indonesia (especially Solo) and China. Hence, in 2007 UNS cooperated with Jinan University “College of Chinesse language and Culture” (China). Athe main aim of the mutual partnership is to develop the system of Chinesse teaching in Indonesia. UNS believe that learning the language and culture of China could develop the insight of the students. UNS here had also fulfilled the growing demands of the  Indonesian students who are eager to learn about the culture and the language of China. The cooperation covers the activities such as exchange of faculty member for teaching and research, exchange of advanced students (master or PhD) for study or research, joint research activities, participations in seminar, conferences, and academic meetings, short-term training programmes, and exchange of information, documents, publications, and other teaching materials. By having this cooperation, the dean of UNS expect that the students could see how language and culture had been important profitable assets.

University of Tottori, Japan

Once again UNS had proved its care to the development of the system of education in Solo. In 2006, UNS built cooperation with the University of Tottori, Japan. The growing interests of the students to the high-standadrized system of education of developing nations such as Japan and the growing demands of the qualified local researchers for advanced facilities in leading their research had led the dean of UNS to manage cooperation with University of Tottori, one of qualified university in Japan. The Dean of the UNS realize that Japan is a good reference for Indonesia. The high quality of human resources of Japan had led Japan to be the second greatest nation in the world. The scopes of the cooperations are students and teachers exchange, exchange of advanced students (master or PhD) for study or research, joint research activities, participations in seminar, conferences, and academic meetings, short-term training programmes, and exchange of information, documents, publications, and other teaching materials. In this cooperation, the dean of the faculty expect that UNS could improve the quality of its education system.

Asosiasi Teknologi Adiguna Rusia Indonesia (ASTARI)

Technology had been one of important matters in this modern era. Modernity had challenged people to create easier and more advanced technology to apply. The issues about the destructions of the world such as global warming had challenged the people to develop sustainable and safe technology. The development of technology in Indonesia is still slow because the quality of Indonesia’s human resources is still low. Hence, in 2006 UNS made a collaboration with “ Asosiasi Teknologi Adiguna Rusia Indonesia (ASTARI)”, an assosiation which carry out a collaborative training program about the improvement of nano technology and industrial collaboration (between Indonesia and Russia). The scopes of the collaboration are seminar, training program for UNS’s students (about how to use nano technology devices), workshop, special training, the sharing of  the materies about Nano Technology (NT) and Scanning Probe Microscope (SPM) from electronic media, and including the industrial collaboration between the two sides. Starting from this, it is expected that the students could apply and develop advanced technologies in the future.

University of La Rochelle (France)

In 2005, UNS had been trusted by the University of La Rochelle (France) to be a partner in a mutual and reciprocity-based cooperation. The scopes of the cooperations are the exchange of students and faculty staffs, joint research, seminars, advanced training program,and the sharing of information, publication, and educational materials. The cooperations is aimed at establishing scientific, teaching, and research relations between UNS and ULR. The concerns of the cooperations are on language and economy (double degree program). The needs of Indonesian people for standardized-economy system had led them to leran about the economy system of the modern countries. France, as a megapolitan country has well-established system of economy so that the prosperity of its society is good. By having mutual cooperation with ULR it is expected that the students of UNS could meet the economic challenges in Indonesia and then solve the economic problems. This cooperations could trigger the establishment of a better economical conditions in Idnonesia, especially in Solo.

ATMI, German Malaysian Institute GMI & MTS CNC System (Singapore)/MTS Didactic Singapore /Malaysia

UNS have good and cooperative relationship with the neighborhood countries such as Malaysia and Singapore. It is proved with the cooperation among UNS, ATMI, German Malaysian Institute GMI & MTS CNC System (Singapore)/MTS Didactic Singapore /Malaysia. Those there institutions realized that the human resources of The Asian countries should be developed. Hence, In 2005, those three institutions work together to improve the quaility of the human resources of Asian countries. The scope of activities of the cooperations cover staff developments, and staff and student exchange, joint research and publications, joint seminar and workshop, training course, and the development of teaching and learning modules. By having this cooperations, The three institutions expect that the quality of the human resourches in their countries would be better.

Al-Azhar University, Egypt

In order to expand study of Islamic economy, UNS cooperate with Al-Azhar University of Egypt. Many ways are done to acquire this goal. Thus, the cooperation includes:

  1. Cooperative research to develop study of Islamic economy
  2. Sending lecturers/experts/Islamic economy trainers from Al-Azhar University to UNS
  3. Sending lecturers/students from UNS to conduct research in the study of Islamic economy under the supervision from Al-Azhar University
  4. Exchange research result related to the study of Islamic economy

Suez Canal Ismailia University, Egypt

Both universities have the same mission and commitment on enhancing the future of both nations. In doing so, the universities formed an alliance in the form of:

  1. Sending lecturers/experts/Islamic economy trainers from Al-Azhar University to UNS
  2. Sending lecturers/students from UNS to conduct research in the study of Islamic economy under the supervision from Al-Azhar University

Darul Ulum Faculty, Cairo University, Egypt

UNS and Darul Ulum Faculty of Cairo University have the same mission and commitment on enhancing the future of both nations. In doing so, the universities formed an alliance in the form of:

  1. Lecturers exchange
  2. Students exchange
  3. Cooperative research
  4. Exchange of research results

Curtin University of Technology, Australia

The cooperation between both universities are done in order to establish a program of research training for doctoral degree (such as the Doctor of Philosophy) students, employed as academic staff at UNS Solo, and enrolled as research candidates of Curtin University, in the area which will be determined and agreed upon by UNS Solo and Curtin University.

ENED (International Education Center for Energy Solution), ATMI (Technical Academy of Manufacturing Engineering), SCTC (Surakarta Competency and Technology Center), and UNS (Sebelas Maret University)

The plan on developing Solo Techno Park has urged four institutions to form cooperation in order to realize this plan. The international support is needed in developing the Solo Techno Park, especially in Research and Development Area. This is to establish partnership and cooperation in developing energy solutions such as solar cell, bio-fuel, bio-mass, etc. This cooperation includes sharing of information from both parties, consultancy for Solo Techno Park, education and training.

SEAMEO Regional Open Learning Center (SEAMOLEC)

SEAMOLEC and Universitas Sebelas Maret have complementary objectives and a mutual desire to collaborate in a number of areas to pursue common educational and training objectives. In consideration of the mutual purpose, both parties agreed on forming collaboration in the form of:

  1. To collaborate in undertaking programs, projects, and other related activities whenever and wherever feasible opportunities present themselves.
  2. To exchange scientific materials, publications, and information.
  3. To execute separate agreements in writing for any particular undertaking jointly implemented, wherein sharing of responsibilities shall be specified and approved by both parties.

Guangxi University for Nationalities, P.R.China

The collaboration formed by both universities, Guangxi University for Nationalities, P.R.China and Sebelas Maret University is in the form of lecturer and student exchange programs between two parties, collaboration research in China and Indonesia, short course and training in China and Indonesia in the field of science and technology, and National language teaching form both parties.

Guangxi State Farm and Agriculture Authority

The collaboration formed by both universities, Guangxi State Farm and Agriculture Authority and Sebelas Maret University is in the form of technology transfer in agriculture from Guangxi State Farm and Agriculture Authority, student and lecturer exchange programs between two parties, to provide language tutor from China to teach Indonesian students on Mandarin language, and to assist and up date all laboratories equipments and methods of research and developments.

Zhanjiang Normal University, China

Zhanjiang Normal University and Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta have pledged on forming collaboration between both universities in the form of lecturer exchange program (exchange of qualified lecturers to each Chinese and Indonesia or other subjects), Intercultural Exchange Student Program (student exchange program to study Chinese and Indonesia culture for one month in both sides), Zhanjiang Normal University agreed to provide 200 books to Sebelas Maret University, exchange visiting of leaders in order to evaluate the implementation of the agreement, seminar, conference, and academic meeting participation of both parties, short course and training in China and Indonesia.

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Guangzhou, China

The collaboration formed by both universities, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Sebelas Maret University is in the form of lecturer and student exchange programs between two parties, collaboration of research in China and Indonesia, short course and training in China and Indonesia, and National language teaching form both parties.

South China University of Tropical Agriculture, and Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, Hainan, P.R.China

The collaboration formed by both universities, South China University of Tropical Agriculture, and Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences and Sebelas Maret University is in the form of lecturer and student exchange programs between two parties, collaboration research in China and Indonesia, and short course and training in China and Indonesia in the field of science and technology.
