Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) now offers free tuition fee for new international students seeking a master’s degree*)

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be non-Indonesian citizens (those who hold Indonesian citizenships are not eligible)
  • Hold an undergraduate degree (first degree/bachelor’s degree)
  • Show a strong interest in seeking a full-time master’s degree at UNS
  • Have preparation in, and a demonstrated commitment to the chosen field of study
  • Be 35 years of age or under by July 31, 2016
  • Be willing and able to attend an interview session in Indonesia (under a tourist visa) or over a video call

 

 Language Requirements

  • Since the courses are conducted in Indonesian language, applicants must show proof of Indonesian language competence. Either certificates of Indonesian language course attendance or scores on Test of Indonesian Language for Non-Native Speakers is accepted. UNS Language Center provides both Indonesian language courses and Test of Indonesian as a Foreign Language.
  • Applicants must also show competence in English, shown by International TOEFL Test Score of minimum 450 for natural science programs and 500 for social science programs or other Academic English test proficiency certificate equivalent with the above score. Competence in English is very important because most academic references are in English.

 

Application Procedure

Complete and send us the following application requirements:

  1. Completed application form (download here). This includes a clearly written and concise study objective
  2. Certified true copy of undergraduate diploma/certificate
  3. Certified copy of undergraduate academic transcripts
  4. Copy of certificate or proof of Indonesian language proficiency
  5. Copy of most recent, less than two year old TOEFL or IELTS score report
  6. Two letters of reference, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor
  7. Copy of current valid passport with an expiration date of at least June 2019
  8. Medical statement
  9. Most recent color photograph, close up, with red background

10. Proof of health insurance
International students who do not have health insurance are required to apply for a health insurance in Indonesia as soon as they are admitted
