KNB SCHOLARSHIP

Kemitraan Negara Berkembang Scholarship, popularly known as KNB Scholarship, is a financial assistance offered by the Indonesian Government to prospective international students coming from developing countries to pursue their degree (Bachelor, Master or Doctorate Degree) at one of the universities in Indonesia. This time, UNS opens opportunity for international students to study master and doctoral degree at UNS with KNB Scholarship.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

1. Indonesian Language Training or BIPA program (1 year)

2. Preparation program by university (if any)

3. Academic program:

    ●  Master Degree: maximum 4 semesters

    ●  Doctoral Degree: maximum 8 semesters

STUDY AND ENGAGE

During their studies, KNB Scholarship recipients are expected to fully engage in academic activities, maintain good academic performance, and actively participate in research and community projects. The program encourages students to explore Indonesian culture, traditions, and local communities, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the country.

  8. Exemption of visa and stay permit fee

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Maximum age
  • Master Degree: 35 years old
  • Doctoral Degree: 40 years old
  1. Certificate of graduation and academic transcript from previous university
  2. Passport with validity of minimum 2 years ahead
  3. Recent recommendation letter from Indonesian Embassy
  4. Recent recommendation letter from immediate supervisor (if working)
  5. Recommendation letter from research supervisor candidate from the desired university (for Doctoral degree only)
  6. Statement of purpose (for Doctoral degree only)
  7. English proficiency certificate with minimum score:
  • Master Degree: TOEFL ITP 500, TOEFL IBT 61, IELTS 6
  • Doctoral Degree: TOEFL ITP 530, TOEFL IBT 71, IELTS 6

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Conduct research and decide the desired university and major/program. List of offered programs at Universitas Sebelas Maret can be checked here https://uns.id/UNSknb2024.
  2. Download the KNB offer letter and application guidelines at KNB website https://knb.kemdikbud.go.id
  3. Prepare the required documents and request for recommendation letter from Indonesian Embassy.
  4. When the documents are complete, create an application account at the KNB website, submit your application, and upload the documents.
  5. Follow all the selection stages.
  6. Announcement will be broadcasted through the KNB website.
